Four sentences by Muskegon County Circuit Judge Timothy G. Hicks

The following people were sentenced Sept. 3, 2013, in circuit court:



Judge Timothy G. Hicks

Andre Deshaun Barnes, 36, of Muskegon, two days Muskegon County Jail (time served), 14 months probation, 40 hours community service for controlled substance possession non-narcotic, $698 fees/costs.

Carl Antonio Johnson, 35, of Muskegon, 20 months to 15 years Michigan Department of Corrections for felon in possession of firearm, habitual fourth, consecutive to parole sentence, $198 fees/costs.

Paul Michael Merrill, 31, of Muskegon, one day jail (time served) for violating probation on 2011 conviction of controlled substance delivery/manufacture, $698 fees/costs, discharge from probation.

Steven Allen Nichols Jr., 17, of Muskegon, 90 days jail, two years probation, $3,198 restitution/fees/costs for receiving and concealing stolen property $1,000-$20,000, 20 hours community service weekly until fully employed or full-time student.
