DETROIT, MI — Batman’s ride for the new “Batman vs. Superman” film to be shot this year in Detroit is “finished, but no one’s seen it,” a Warner Bros. official said.
Cassandra Salapatas-Metz, Warner Bros. assistant director of transportation, said Tuesday at an event at the company’s Los Angeles studios that plans for the vehicle and its role in the film are “all under wraps as they say.”
Comments from Salapatas-Metz were reported by the website Henry Cavill News and video of her comments at the “Meet the Family” speaker series can be viewed at the end of this post.
Salapatas-Metz was asked at the event if the new Batmobile could make an appearance at this year’s Comic-Con.
Her response (starts at about 1:16:40 mark of video below):
“Well, I’m not at liberty to say, but I think you might have a point there. But I think.. let’s put it this way, it’s been spoken of.. so always possible. We’re at the ready, us teamsters.. we’re ready to roll if need be.”
Ben Affleck will play the role of Batman in the untitled “Batman vs. Superman” movie and Henry Cavill returns as the Man of Steel.
